WoW: Burning Crusade and Nintendo Wii
On my lunch break today, I went over to see what's happening at one of our many local GameStop stores. World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade and anything Nintendo Wii continues to be "the" items in the stores. The store manager told me that there's an incredibly long list of pre-orders for Burning Crusade. Anyone and everyone who's been looking to join the 7 million online gamers will probably be purchasing BC. I bet it'll be the number one selling PC game of the year. I can't wait to get a copy of BC!!! Plus, I also can't wait to see a copy of our newest issue of Beckett MASSIVE ONLINE GAMER! It features the two newest races on the cover: Draenei and Blood Elves. Plus, here's a scoop for MOG fans, we have a double-sided Burning Crusade poster inside this issue as well. You can look for it on sale January 24th. This will certainly be a hot issue!
Speaking about WoW, after logging onto the Whisperwind server over the past several days I've noticed a tremendous amount of Queue time. Is anyone else having the same problems here?!? I'm sure most of you are... because everyone and their mother is trying to level up their characters to 60 as fast as they can before BC hits the shelves. It's like Speed Racer on a case of Red Bull! Can you imagine what it's going to be like on the night of January 16th??? WHoa! It's a scary thought. I hope the Blizzard severs can handle all of this pressure. It's going to be fun! - Doug Kale
